Whitehurst Beach

One of my favorite spots to visit on campus is Whitehurst Beach. Whitehurst beach is Elizabeth River, which is just past Whitehurst hall. It has docks and sand. I like going to Whitehurst beach because it is relaxing, peaceful, and could be considered one of the most romantic spots on campus.

Whitehurst beach is a relaxing spot on campus; I can go there and not worry about anything. It clears my mind by staring at the water, and enjoying the view. One time when I went there, I sat down on one of the benches and took a little nap, because it helped relax my mind so much. That is why Whitehurst beach is a very relaxing spot for me to go to on campus.

Whitehurst beach is also very peaceful depending on where you go. If you go to Whitehurst beach where the volleyball net, and picnic tables are on 48^th street, than it is not as peaceful because there are people playing ball, running around and having picnics. However, the area of the beach at the end of 49^th street, and by the docks on 48^th street it is more peaceful because there are less people. Whenever I go to Whitehurst beach I go to those areas because it is quiet, and Whitehurst beach is the place I go to be by myself and clear my head of everything going on in my life. I talked to my friend, Molly once when we were walking around campus, and she mentioned that she likes going to Whitehurst beach when she walks around campus because it helps her clear her head. That is how I knew that Whitehurst beach is a peaceful place on campus.

Whitehurst beach could also be considered on of the most romantic places on campus. Sometimes I would talk to my engaged, or married friends; and they would tell me about how their significant others proposed to them. I always told them that when my future husband proposed to me I would want him to propose at Whitehurst Beach over the sunset, because of how romantic that spot is. On Valentines Day I decided to walk over to Whitehurst beach and watch the sunset, and I was not the only one that had that idea, I saw a lot of people going to watch the sunset there, and they were all couples. That is another thing that told me that it is one of the more romantic spots on campus. One thing that makes Whitehurst beach so romantic is how peaceful it is, because then you can just enjoy your significant others company. Another thing that makes it so romantic is watching the sunset over the water, because it is so beautiful, and whenever I go watch the sunset I wish I had someone special to enjoy the That is why I consider Whitehurst beach to be one of the most romantic spots on campus.

In conclusion I enjoy going to Whitehurst beach the most because it helps me clear my head. I remember the first time I went to the beach and I just sat down on a bench and just enjoyed the view, and it helped me clear my head and forget about all the stresses in my life.
